The erosive forces of the tides cut these rocks slowly over many millions of years, since the Miocene period. They'll be gone in a few million more.

View of the pacific from a coastal access beach just past the border of Malibu into Ventura. This was a single exposure, not an HDR. Shot using a Tiffen circular polarizer with a 2.5 second exposure. Graduated filter added with Lightroom to bring back the sky detail.
